With Ford announcing the end of Mercury, I was thinking of other obsolete car brands. I was just looking for the song, but I found this charming Fleischer animation.
Some cars replaced the horse. What did Oldsmobile replace?
Before television, everyone went to the movie theatre. The show included some shorts and some sing-a-longs, and some advertisements. Sometimes it was all three at once. Everyone knew the words to this song, and most people sang it.
